Rebekah's Belgium Ironman
Hello! I'm Rebekah and I'm competing in the Half Ironman in Belgium. I am joining Quique's initiative to support him in his challenge to raise 100,000 euros to fund the research project at La Paz Hospital.

I'm Rebekah. I've never really been an athlete, but I started doing short triathlons a few years ago and since then dreamed of doing a half Ironman. This race includes a 1.9km swim, 90km bike, and 21km run. The idea of me doing this seems impossible!
When I lived in Shanghai, I got to know the wonderful Nogueroles family: Enrique, Barty, Lua, and Quique. During lockdown in 2022, they learned about Quique's cancer diagnosis. It has been incredible to see the strength, positivity, and resilience of both Quique and the entire family as they have gone through 2 rounds of treatment.
This cancer is rare in children and very little is known about how best to treat it. However, at the Hospital La Paz in Madrid, there is promising, active research going into treatments for kids. Quique decided to raise money to support this research. His target is 100,000 euros.
Quique loves sports and credits sports with helping him maintain a positive outlook. Inspired by him, I am signed up for an Ironman 70.3 in Belgium on the 8th of September! I have pledged to raise
2000 euros through donations. Please support Quique's quest (and my half Ironman attempt!) by donating in this platform.
